Booking & Reservations
How do I make a reservation?
You can book online with secure payment, by phone, WhatsApp (+30 695 59 27 824), or email. Your reservation is confirmed the moment payment is completed — no need to pay again at the harbour.
Tip: Book 24–48 hours ahead during peak season (July–August) to secure your preferred time slot.
Do I need to pay a deposit to confirm my booking?
There is no deposit — full payment is taken securely at the time of booking online. If you prefer to book by phone or WhatsApp, payment details will be shared at that point.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend 1–2 days in advance. In July and August, aim for 3–5 days ahead. For last-minute requests, call us — same-day availability is often possible outside peak dates.
Can I book a specific boat?
Yes — all three boats are identical Poseidon Blue Water 170s but you can request a specific one when booking. We'll do our best to accommodate.
Licences & Requirements
Do I need a boat licence to rent?
No licence is required. Our boats are fully compliant with Greek maritime regulations for licence-free operation. The only rule: the captain must be at least 18 years old.
Our boats are specifically chosen to be licence-free — accessible to everyone.
What is the minimum age to drive the boat?
The captain must be 18 or older. Passengers of any age are welcome — including children and babies — all provided with appropriately sized life jackets.
What if I'm nervous about driving for the first time?
Perfectly normal. Our captain Nikos gives every guest a thorough 20–30 minute briefing covering everything you need. Most guests feel confident within minutes. If you prefer not to drive at all, add a professional skipper for €25/hr.
Can I add a professional skipper?
Yes — add a licensed skipper for €25/hr. They handle all navigation so you can fully relax and enjoy the day. Request when booking.
Pricing & Payment
How does the pricing work?
Simple and transparent: €70 for the first hour, then €20 for each additional hour. Fuel is not included — the boat departs full and you return it at the same level, paying for whatever fuel you use at €2.30 per litre.
Example: 4 hours = €70 + (3 × €20) = €130 rental. Fuel extra at €2.30/litre.
Is fuel included in the price?
Fuel is not included. The boat leaves with a full tank and you return it at the same fuel level.
Fuel cost: €2.30 per litre
Typical consumption depends on distance travelled and speed. A half-day coastal trip typically uses 10–20 litres (€23–€46). A full-day trip to Bali and back can use 25–40 litres (€57–€92). Fuel is topped up at our harbour point before you return the boat.

What payment methods do you accept?
Online bookings are paid securely by card at the time of reservation. If you book by phone or WhatsApp, we'll arrange payment details with you directly. Fuel on return is paid at the harbour (cash or card).
Your rental is fully paid before you arrive — just show up and enjoy.
Are there any hidden charges?
None. The rental rate is €70 + €20/hr, paid at booking. Fuel is separately charged at €2.30/litre when you return the boat. Any optional extras (skipper, snorkelling kit, etc.) are clearly priced and agreed in advance. What you see is what you pay.
On the Day
Where exactly do I go on the day?
Rethymno Old Venetian Harbour, 74100, Crete. Look for our service point and Poseidon Blue Water 170 boats. Parking is nearby. We'll send you exact meeting point details with your booking confirmation.
How many people can fit on one boat?
Up to 6 passengers including the captain. For larger groups, rent two or three boats and explore together — contact us to arrange group bookings.
Can I bring children or babies?
Absolutely. Our boats are family-friendly and the Cretan sea is very calm in summer. Life jackets are provided in all sizes including infant. Let us know children's ages when booking.
What should I bring?
Swimwear, towel, high-SPF sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, water (1.5+ litres per person), snacks or lunch, waterproof bag for phone. We provide life jackets, safety kit and a destinations map.
Can we swim and snorkel from the boat?
Yes — that's the best part. Anchor at any cove and jump in. We can rent you a full snorkelling kit and our destinations map marks the best underwater spots.
Safety & Weather
What happens if the weather is bad on my booking day?
Safety is our absolute priority. If conditions are unsafe we contact you in advance to reschedule or issue a full refund. Rentals are cancelled if winds exceed Beaufort Force 4 (~28 km/h). You are never charged for a weather cancellation.
The north Cretan coast has very calm seas throughout summer — weather cancellations are rare.
What safety equipment is on board?
Every boat carries: CE-approved life jackets for all passengers, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, emergency flares, waterproof torch, throw rope, anchor, and a laminated emergency contacts card with Greek Coast Guard (108) and our number.
What if something goes wrong at sea?
Every guest receives an emergency card with our direct number, Greek Coast Guard (108), and harbour authority. We track our fleet throughout the day and will come to you in the unlikely event of an engine issue.
Cancellations & Changes
What is your cancellation policy?
Free cancellation and full refund up to 48 hours before departure. Since payment is made at booking, cancellations within this window are refunded in full to the original payment method. We are a small family business and treat every customer fairly.
Can I change my booking date or time?
Yes — subject to availability. Contact us as early as possible. Changes are free of charge with sufficient notice.
What if I return the boat later than planned?
Additional hours are charged at €20/hr, settled at the harbour on the day. Call us if you'd like to extend — we'll check availability. Please always communicate rather than simply returning late.
